This weekend will not only see the 2017-I GP1 Japan Grand prix, but also the 85th real life edition of the famous 24 Heures du Mans race! Of course racing fans from all over the world will watch this highly prestigious event and cheer on their favourite cars and drivers in this unique experience of Endurance Racing.
At the same time the real life Le Mans will take place, the Bent Metal Sim Racing league will host it’s two hours-edition of the virtual Le Mans race. Several Race4Speed drivers will accept the challenge and try to beat the distance and opponents on this high-speed track. F3 driver Martin Jatzek will compete for the overall win in an Audi R18 in LMP1, hoping to profit from previous endurance races. “I feel like I could be able to win this, if everything goes as expected” said a confident Jatzek.
Aside him, but racing in LMP2’s Oreca 03 will start GP1 driver Cristian Alvarez and GP1 & F3 driver Constantin Grimminger. Alvarez will make his debut in the series and in multi-class endurance racing, while Grimminger will try to use all of his experience. “I’ve been racing in Spa in this series before, this should help to avoid making vunerable mistakes” stated Grimminger who’s currently sitting in 2nd in the LMP2 class.
We wish all our drivers good luck on their new experience and hope them to have an easy race to hit the track again on Sunday in GP1!
